I have come to believe that if it were not for me watching the lovely Whitley Gilbert flaunt and taunt on the hit show ADifferent Worldas a child, I would probably not be the highly dramatic diva I am today. So thank you oh so very much Whitley. The character played by Jasmine Guy was extremely fashionable for that time. She portrayed the young black women that had style and class. Sporting diamonds and Chanel to class Whitley indeed deserves to be considered one on televisions haute fashion icons::.
